Sensus and partner win lead in $1B smart-meter project
Sensus said Wednesday that it won a contract to put its communications technology into 16 million gas and electric meters in the United Kingdom, a project that will dwarf its past work.
The Raleigh-based company and a British partner, Arqiva, won the contract to do about 85 percent of the U.K. government's project. The project is valued at about 625 million pounds, or $1 billion, roughly equal to Sensus’ annual revenue in recent years.(More)
